DIRECTOR OF SALES AND MARKETING

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

 

1.Develops and implements strategic marketing & sales plans and forecasts to achieve company objectives for products and services.

 

2.Manages sales/marketing operating budgets.

 

3.Plans and oversees advertising and promotion activities.

 

4.Develops and recommends product positioning, packaging, and strategy to produce the highest possible long-term market share.

 

5.Achieves satisfactory profit/loss ratio and market share in relation to preset standards and industry and economic trends.

 

6.Ensures effective control of marketing results.

 

7.Oversees and evaluates market research and adjusts marketing strategy to meet changing market and competitive conditions.

 

8.Monitors competitor products, sales and marketing activities.

 

9.Establishes and maintains relationships with industry influencers and key strategic partners.

 

10.Establishes and maintains a consistent corporate image throughout all product lines, promotional materials, and events.

 

11.Works with management on sales forecasting activities and sets performance goals accordingly.

 

12.Directs training, and performance evaluations to develop and control sales and marketing programs.

 

 

13.Directs market channel development activity and coordinates sales distribution by establishing sales territories, quotas, and goals.

 

14.Represents company at trade association meetings to promote product.

 

15.Meets with key clients, assisting account managers with maintaining relationships and negotiating and closing deals.

 

16.Prepares periodic sales report showing sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed client base expansion.

 

17.Reviews and analyzes sales performances against programs, quotes and plans to determine effectiveness.

 

18.Works with management on product research and development.

 

19.Oversee operations of fleet supervisor while coordinating delivery schedules.

 

20.Oversee all operations of account managers.

WORK ENVIORNMENT:

 

This is a full-time salary exempt position, which operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment. This position also operates across an array of industrial environments, where PPE and situational awareness are paramount to personal safety.

 

Must have ability to lift and safely carry 50 pounds.  

 

Typical hours are Monday through Friday 7:30am – 5pm.

 

Possession of a valid driver’s license and the ability to safely operate automobiles is required.  Travel is primarily local during the business day, although periodic out-of-the-area and overnight travel is required.

 

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

 

1.Five (5) years of sales & marketing experience required.

 

2.Industrial sales experience is strongly encouraged.

 

3.Business administration and/or employee management experience is a plus.
